The proposal sets a new internal order through a hierarchy and a organization that satisfy the demands of the new library. The space is divided into three areas: one central for the entrance hall on the ground floor and reading room upstairs and two lateral zones with the complementary program. The separation in relation to the outer facade allows an autonomous interior volume from the scale of the old building. Opposite to the compactness of the lateral areas, the reading room is conceived as a open space through several holes that allow cross views and illuminated with some skylights that characterize it. This space is opened to the garden through a double curtain wall which acts as a filter and allows a new image of the building, becaming at night in a flashlight that illuminates the back garden.

 La propuesta plantea un nuevo orden interior mediante una jerarquía y organización que satisfacen las demandas de la nueva biblioteca. El espacio se divide en tres áreas: una central correspondiente al vestíbulo de acceso en planta baja y sala de lecturas en plantas superiores y dos zonas laterales que contienen el programa complementario. Todos los espacios se retranquean respecto a la fachada exterior configurando un volumen interior autónomo a la escala del edificio antiguo. Frente a compacidad de las zonas laterales, la sala de lectura se concibe como espacio abierto a través de huecos que permiten las miradas cruzadas e iluminado cenitalmente por unos lucernarios que lo caracterizan. Este espacio se abre hacia el jardín mediante un muro cortina doble que actúa como filtro y posibilita una renovada imagen del edificio, actuando por la noche como linterna que ilumina el jardín trasero.
