STRATIFICATION AND REPRODUCTION

In ‘Ensemble City’, programmatic and spatial diversity is achieved assembling various elements of the city in a stratified, compact and reticulated system that can grow and repeat. The city, thus, is closely linked to its reproductive conditions.

SUPERPOSITION AND REPETITION

In ‘Ensemble City’, the architectural form, linked to processes of superposition, drilling, casting or filling, is devoid of any figurative characteristic to guarantee its most rational nature. Architectural form is no longer understood as a representation but as a process.

COEXISTENCE AND PRODUCTION

In ‘Ensemble City’, the integration and production of nature within the city contribute to ecological transition. The disposition of nature at different levels, an urban system sensitive to cycles of time or the integration of energy production technologies, try to consider synergies between ecosystems, biotypes and artefacts, functions and uses or citizens.

FLEXIBILITY AND PERFORMATIVITY

In ‘Ensemble City’, housing is characterized by an appropriate outdoor space. This, mediator space between the intimate and the public, serves to expand the interior spaces, arrange new rooms, or simply have fun with outdoor space. This allows the distinction between exterior or public appearance, abstract and austere, and a customizable interior. In Loosian terms: between culture and civilization.

SUPPORT AND INFILL

In ‘Ensemble City’, the structure characterizes the architectural form, acting as support that can be filled in the different levels through the diverse programme. The structure, from its scale and image, defines the transition from public to private.

ESTRATIFICACIÓN Y REPRODUCCIÓN

En ‘Ensemble City’ la diversidad programática y espacial se aborda al ensamblar diversos elementos de la ciudad en un sistema estratificado, compacto y reticular que puede crecer y repetirse. La ciudad queda estrechamente vinculada a sus condiciones reproductivas.

SUPERPOSICIÓN Y REPETICIÓN

En ‘Ensemble City’ la forma arquitectónica, ligada a operaciones de superposición, perforación, vaciado o rellenado, queda desprovista de todo rasgo figurativo para garantizar su naturaleza más racional. Ésta pasa a entenderse como un proceso.

COEXISTENCIA Y PRODUCCIÓN

En ‘Ensemble City’ se favorece la transición ecológica desde la integración y la producción de naturaleza dentro de la ciudad. La disposición de la naturaleza en altura, un sistema urbano sensible a los ciclos temporales o la inserción de elementos productores de energía, buscan considerar las sinergias entre ecosistemas, entre biotipos y artefactos, entre funciones y usos o entre ciudadanos.

FLEXIBILIDAD Y PERFORMATIVIDAD

En ‘Ensemble City’ la vivienda se caracteriza por un espacio exterior apropiable. Este espacio de mediación entro lo íntimo y lo público sirve para ampliar los espacios interiores, disponer de más habitaciones o simplemente disfrutar del exterior. Se posibilita con ello la distinción entre una apariencia exterior o pública, abstracta y austera, y un interior personalizable. En términos loosianos entre cultura y civilización.

SOPORTE Y RELLENO

En la ‘ciudad ensemble’ la estructura protagoniza y caracteriza la forma arquitectónica actuando como soporte se rellena a través de un diverso programa dispuesto en altura. La estructura, desde su escala e imagen, define la transición de lo público a lo privado.
